Man arrested in Mexico border deaths

MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) - A man suspected of participating in the rapes and killings of at least 10 women in a border city made infamous by the deaths of more than 100 young women since 1993 has been arrested, U.S. officials said Thursday.

Costa Rica moves embassy from Jerusalem

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (AP) - Costa Rica has said it will move its embassy in Israel from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv but El Salvador said it will stay, making it the only remaining country with an embassy in Jerusalem.

Volcano eruption in Ecuador kills 1

BANOS, Ecuador (AP) - A volcanic eruption in Ecuador's Andes mountains showered incandescent rock and lava on nearby villages, smothering houses and burning residents as thousands tried to flee to safety. At least one person was killed and 60 were missing.
