Protesters march ahead of Americas Summit

MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina (AP) - Waving communist flags and images of famed revolutionary Che Guevara, thousands of people opposed to President Bush and free trade protested Tuesday at a "People's Summit" ahead of this weekend's fourth Summit of the Americas.

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexicans marked the annual Day of the Dead holiday on Tuesday with a towering pile of giant skulls, huge skeletons, vast altars to the dead and large carpets of marigold petals in Mexico City's main square.

Guantanamo detainee attempts suicide

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - A detainee from Bahrain at the U.S. prison for terror suspects at Guantanamo Bay tried to kill himself during a break from a meeting with his attorney, the lawyer said Tuesday.

Chavez warns of moving jets to Cuba, China
