Pakistan tells U.S. not to repeat attack

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) - Pakistan's president told a senior American official Saturday the United States must not repeat airstrikes like the one that apparently was aimed at al-Qaida but killed civilians in a remote village, as officials sought to soothe public outrage over the attack.

U.N.: Quake camps may stay until summer

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) - Tent camps sheltering earthquake victims in devastated northern Pakistan may be needed for another six months, a U.N. official said Saturday, as the United States signed a $200 million grant for rebuilding the country.

KATMANDU, Nepal (AP) - Police fired tear gas Saturday to disperse activists protesting the Nepalese king's seizure of absolute power last year. At least 300 people were arrested and 50 were injured.
