Bomber kills 15 in Pakistan capital

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) - A suicide bomber blew himself up Tuesday before a rally supporting Pakistan's chief justice against the president, killing 15 people in the latest attack in a spate of violence since the army stormed a mosque held by Islamic extremists.

Mayor closes quake-hit Japan nuke plant

KASHIWAZAKI, Japan (AP) - The mayor ordered that a nuclear power plant hit by a strong earthquake be shut down Wednesday until its safety could be confirmed after a long list of problems _ including radiation leaks, burst pipes and fires _ came to light.
