Philippines: Terror funds still flowing

MANILA, Philippines (AP) - Funds are flowing in for terrorist operations in the Philippines, mostly from the Middle East, a senior security official said Saturday while admitting authorities were unable to stop it.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - North Korea on Saturday demanded the United States rescind its recent appointment of a special envoy on human rights in the communist country, warning the position could hurt international efforts to end the North's nuclear weapons program.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - A bomb killed a U.S. service member and wounded four when it exploded near their armored vehicle in eastern Afghanistan, the military said on Saturday.
