S.Korea to propose disarmament roadmap

BEIJING (AP) - South Korea's lead envoy called for faster progress in getting North Korea to stop developing nuclear weapons as he prepared to offer a proposed roadmap for disarmament at six-nation talks on the dispute in Beijing.
 
Malaysian terrorist apparently kills self

MALANG, Indonesia (AP) - One of Southeast Asia's most wanted terrorists apparently blew himself up Wednesday to escape capture when an elite security unit attacked his hideout, Indonesia's president said. Two other suspected militants were thought killed in the blast.
 
Diarrhea hits Pakistan quake survivors

MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan (AP) - Health workers rushed Wednesday to contain an outbreak of acute diarrhea afflicting hundreds of earthquake survivors at a crowded, unsanitary camp on a soccer field here in the capital of Pakistan's part of Kashmir.
 
Boeing jet attempts record nonstop flight

Malaysian terror leader believed killed

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - One of southeast Asia's most-wanted terrorist suspects, accused of plotting a series of deadly bombings in Bali, was believed to have been killed Wednesday when an elite Indonesian anti-terrorism unit stormed a suspected militant hideout, police said.

Indonesia: Terror leader believed killed

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - Malaysian terror leader Azahari bin Husin was believed to have been killed Wednesday in a shootout with police, a top Indonesian investigator said. Local TV stations reported that Azahari, one of Southeast Asia's most wanted terrorists, had blown himself up in an apparent bid to avoid being captured alive.
