U.S. delegation urges Darfur negotiations

UNITED NATIONS (AP) - The United Nations and the United States must keep up pressure on Sudan's government and rebel groups in Darfur to return to negotiations and stop violence in the troubled region, a U.S. congressional delegation said Tuesday.

Ugandan politician cleared of rape charge

KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) - Uganda's High Court cleared opposition leader Kizza Besigye of rape charges Tuesday, saying the prosecution failed "dismally" to prove its case.
