Zimbabwe opposition leaders get out vote

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) - President Robert Mugabe, widely accused of rigging previous elections, predicted a huge victory Wednesday, the eve of parliamentary elections. Opposition leaders urged supporters to go to the polls in defiance of intimidation and fears of violence.
 
Ethiopia expels three American groups

Whites keeping low profile in Zimbabwe

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) - It's an often repeated refrain in President Robert Mugabe's campaign: The opposition is a tool of white imperialists who want to re-colonize Zimbabwe. While they were a visible force in the last two elections, Zimbabwe's increasingly wary white residents have rarely been seen in the run-up to Thursday's parliamentary vote.
