Somali warlords to begin pulling troops

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) - Warlords controlling thousands of militia fighters in the Somali capital will begin pulling their troops out of Mogadishu by the end of the week in an effort to restore order there, four key warlords said Tuesday.

Kenyans eager to adopt baby rescued by dog

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - Offers to adopt a newborn girl found among a litter of puppies after being abandoned are pouring in to the Kenyan hospital where she is being treated, and the stray dog credited with her rescue has a home and a name _ "Mkombozi" or "Savior."

Terrorism charges against Kenyans dropped

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - Prosecutors on Tuesday dropped charges of conspiracy against three Kenyans who had been suspected of plotting to bomb the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi in 1998 and 2003.

UNICEF to help combat cholera in Sao Tome
