Moammar Gadhafi holds talks with US envoy

TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) - Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi held talks on improving relations with Washington with the U.S. assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs on Thursday, Libya's official news agency reported.

Truth commission recommended for Burundi

UNITED NATIONS (AP) - A U.N. mission has recommended establishing a truth and reconciliation commission and a special chamber to prosecute alleged war crimes in Burundi, which has been embroiled in repeated ethnic violence since independence in 1962.
