Al-Qaida in North Africa issues threats

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - The North African branch of al-Qaida, believed responsible for a suicide bombing in Algeria this month, threatened Monday to carry out new attacks against "enemies of God" in the region.
 
France tries to help medics in Libya

PARIS (AP) - France's first lady was in Libya on Monday for a second day of secretive talks to try to secure the repatriation of five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor imprisoned for allegedly infecting Libyan children with the AIDS virus.
 
U.N.: 10,000 Somalis flee capital
