Kenya court says American priest killed

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - The death of an American priest who openly criticized the Kenyan government was homicide, not suicide as an earlier investigation found, a Kenyan court ruled Wednesday. The court also ordered the government to launch a new probe.

Sudan praises U.N. peacekeeping force

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) - Sudan on Wednesday endorsed a U.N. resolution to send 26,000 peacekeepers to Darfur, raising hopes for a force that could for the first time provide real protection to civilians in one of the world's most embattled regions.

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) - Sudan hailed a Security Council resolution to send 26,000 peacekeepers to Darfur as a diplomatic victory, promising Wednesday to uphold the deal since it respects Sudanese sovereignty.
