Darfur rebels want talks

ARUSHA, Tanzania (AP) - Rebel groups in Darfur have agreed to hold peace talks with Sudan's government on issues adding fuel to the widespread violence that has plagued the region, U.N. and African Union officials said Monday.

Zimbabwe arrests 7,500 in price campaign

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) - Nearly 7,500 business leaders and traders have been arrested for violating sweeping price controls since they were imposed six weeks ago, the government said Monday. President Robert Mugabe vowed not to back down from the clampdown.
