Senator: U.S., Libya work to end sanctions

TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) - U.S. and Libyan officials are working toward opening an American Embassy in Tripoli and ending Libya's designation as a terrorist-sponsoring country, Sen. Richard Lugar said Saturday.

Amnesty decries Zimbabwe homeless camps

LONDON (AP) - Zimbabwe's government cleared out camps for those it made homeless in a so-called urban cleanup campaign, then secretly moved their inhabitants to the outskirts of the capital in even worse conditions, a human rights group said Saturday.
