NIAMEY, Niger (AP) - U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan appealed for more aid Wednesday for hunger-stricken Niger, and said the crisis in this desert nation could deepen if more help doesn't come soon.

KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) - Uganda has ordered six Congolese men suspected of plotting to overthrow Congolese President Joseph Kabila's government to leave the country or face arrest, the interior minister said Wednesday.
 
Probe ordered into Kenya torture claims
