NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - Sister Leonella, a nun who devoted her life to helping the sick in Africa, used to joke there was a bullet with her name engraved on it in Somalia. When the bullet came, she used her last breaths to forgive those responsible.
 
Somalia's leader escapes attempt on life

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) - Somalia's president narrowly escaped an assassination attempt Monday by a suicide car bomber outside the parliament building in Baidoa, officials said. The blast and a subsequent gunbattle left 11 people dead, including the president's brother.

Rebel group wants peacekeepers in Sudan
