U.S. team joins Nigeria air crash probe

ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) - A four-member team from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board joined Nigerian investigators Wednesday in trying to unravel why a Boeing 737 passenger jet crashed on takeoff, killing 96 people, government officials said.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) - The U.N. Security Council voted unanimously Wednesday to extend Ivory Coast's transitional government for a final year and give new powers to the country's unelected prime minister to implement a peace plan and prepare for long-delayed elections.
