Sudan leader says he'd be ready for war

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) - Sudan's government does not want war but will be ready for one if forced to fight, President Omar al-Bashir warned Saturday during a show of support for a paramilitary force that once battled southern rebels.

GOMA, Congo (AP) - Aid groups in Congo have secured the release of 232 child soldiers from militia fighters who forcibly recruited them in the east of the country, the U.N. children's agency said Saturday.
