Ruling throws Australia probe into doubt

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) - A government inquiry into a surgeon linked to the deaths of 88 patients at a rural Australian hospital was thrown into doubt Thursday when a court ruled the panel's head may be biased against two health officials.
