WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) - New Zealand police raided what they called military-style training camps and private homes on Monday, seizing firearms and arresting 17 people from domestic groups on arms and possible terrorism offenses, authorities said.

Australian vote hinges on Iraq, economy

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) - Prime Minister John Howard on Sunday called general elections in Australia for Nov. 24, cautioning voters about his opponent's plans for a withdrawal from Iraq and reminding them he has overseen the country's long economic boom.
