Hamas' Fatah arrests spark protest

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Hamas forces arrested four Fatah members late Friday in the northern Gaza Strip, sparking a protest by relatives that left at least 10 people injured, witnesses and officials said.

BAGHDAD (AP) - A car bomb killed at least eight people in a northern Kurdish area Friday, but Baghdad remained largely calm with a driving ban still in effect and thousands of Shiite pilgrims headed home.

U.S. military says al-Sadr in Iran again

BAGHDAD (AP) - The U.S. military said on Friday that firebrand Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr had returned to Iran, where he had spent several months earlier this year as the United States was sending 30,000 additional troops to the Baghdad area. Al-Sadr's office said he was still in Iraq.
