Signs to say Negron will get Foley votes

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Supervisors of elections in former Rep. Mark Foley's district may post signs telling voters that Joe Negron is the Republican candidate even though it will be Foley's name on the ballot, Florida elections officials said Thursday.

WOODBURY, Minn. (AP) - Motherhood is hard to miss in Minnesota's most competitive House race. Democrat Patty Wetterling, whose son disappeared 17 years ago, has grabbed the national spotlight in the fallout from the Mark Foley scandal. She immediately launched a hard-hitting television ad that argued Republicans "knowingly ignored the welfare of children to protect their own power."
