WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - U.S. Rep. Brad Miller chuckled through most of the first debate with his Republican challenger, who led a tense and often awkward discussion about sex-related issues Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (AP) - A watchdog group filed a complaint Tuesday with the IRS against a Minnesota church, claiming the pastor violated the church's tax-exempt status by endorsing Republican congressional candidate Michele Bachmann.

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. (AP) - A congressional race in New Jersey is more than a matter of "D" or "R," it has also come down to the difference between "a" and "e." The incumbent is named Saxton; the challenger is named Sexton _ and that has created a lot publicity for Sexton, a political novice.
