U.S. involved in Iraq longer than WWII

WASHINGTON (AP) - The war in Iraq has now lasted longer than the U.S. involvement in the war that President Bush's father fought in, World War II. As of Sunday, the conflict in Iraq has raged for three years and just over eight months.

Cheney, Saudi king discuss trouble spots

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) - Vice President Dick Cheney sought Saudi help on Saturday in dealing with Iraq's spiraling violence and other regional trouble spots where U.S. policy is on the line: Iran, Lebanon and the Palestinian territories.
