Group loses bid for more Westar data

WASHINGTON (AP) - A federal judge has refused to order the release of an internal report on political contributions by Westar Energy Inc., a Kansas company that's been indicted in Texas for making illegal corporate contributions to a political committee founded by Majority Leader Tom DeLay.

WASHINGTON (AP) - People who ride in pickup trucks use seat belts less often than passengers in cars, and the consequences are deadlier: A higher percentage of people killed in pickup truck crashes didn't buckle up compared to those in passenger cars, the government reported Monday.
