Fish and Wildlife assigns bull trout area

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Friday said it will designate more than 100,000 acres of lakes and reservoirs in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana as critical habitat for the threatened bull trout.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Bush administration, trying to restrain America's soaring trade deficit, is resuming its lobbying effort to persuade China to move further in reforming a currency system that U.S. manufacturers contend is rigged against them.
