TOKYO (AP) - Japanese stocks rose Thursday after the government announced the economy grew 4.8 percent in the October-December quarter. The dollar was lower against the yen.

SINGAPORE (AP) - Oil prices edged up in Asian trading Thursday after dropping more than 1.8 percent in the previous session on data that showed a less-than-expected drop in U.S. inventories for distillate fuel, which includes heating oil and diesel oil.
