SAN DIEGO (AP) - Qualcomm Inc. and Broadcom Corp. agreed to dismiss patent and trade-secret claims against each other Friday, ending several skirmishes in the long-running legal battle between the two wireless technology companies.

TORONTO (AP) - Canadian networking equipment company Nortel Networks Corp. said Friday its fourth-quarter net loss narrowed as the year-ago results were weighed by a huge legal expense. The company posted a net loss of $80 million, or 19 cents per share, compared with a loss of $2.29 billion, or $5.26 per share, in the same period a year earlier.
