Air China signs deal to buy Boeing planes

HONG KONG (AP) - Air China Ltd. said Thursday it signed an agreement to buy 15 Boeing Co. 737 aircraft that have a list price of $982.8 million as part of an earlier-disclosed package deal that involved eight Chinese airlines buying 80 737 jetliners.

BEIJING (AP) - China's sizzling economy grew by 10.2 percent in the first quarter from the same period last year, overshooting its official target, but inflation stayed low and growth didn't appear to be dangerously fast, the government said Thursday.
