Boeing to get 787s into service by 2008

SEATTLE (AP) - Boeing Co. said Wednesday it plans to deliver 112 of its new 787 airplanes in 2008 and 2009, and is still on track to get the plane into service in early summer of 2008.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Federal regulators on Wednesday proposed fining Pacific Gas and Electric Co. $96,000 for losing track of material removed from a nuclear reactor more than 30 years ago. The violations occurred at a PG&E nuclear power plant near Eureka, which the utility shut down in 1976.
 
Japanese stocks retreat; dollar higher
