LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mostly stronger against other major currencies in European trading Tuesday. Gold prices rose.

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - The dollar rose against the euro Tuesday as the U.S. government reported a strong rise in new home sales, and it recovered against the yen as renewed speculation about a possible revaluation of China's currency faded.
