Dollar climbs as euro hits nine-month low

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - The dollar rose against most major currencies on Monday, especially the euro, which hit a new nine-month low against the dollar after better-than-expected economic news from the United States weighed on the 12-nation common currency.
