Gandolfini says 'Sopranos' a life lesson

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Tony Soprano can be tough on James Gandolfini, too. "It's a dark, dark world and you're in it a lot," the star of "The Sopranos" said of his career-defining character. "However, if you're in a dark world, I can't think of any other to be in. There are a lot of pluses. It just takes a heavy toll sometimes."

Nashville station pulls 'Book of Daniel'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - NBC's Nashville affiliate has closed "The Book of Daniel" after the show, whose main character is a pill-popping Episcopal priest with a gay son and a pot-dealing daughter, drew thousands of complaints.

Sci Fi Channel to air new 'Doctor Who'

NEW YORK (AP) - Doctor Who is again jumping the pond from England, this time arriving stateside via the Sci Fi Channel. The BBC's "The Doctor," an updated version of the classic TV show that ran from 1963-1989, will begin airing in March on Sci Fi, the network announced Friday.
