NEW YORK (AP) - CNN says it is beginning a nightly prime-time wrap-up of election news, further evidence that the 2008 presidential campaign is a television hit.
 
Gary Collins checks into Glendale jail

GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) - Gary Collins checked into jail Monday to serve a four-day sentence in his drunken driving case. The 69-year-old TV personality and actor chose to pay an $85 daily fee to stay in the Glendale City Jail instead of the overcrowded Los Angeles County jail, according to the Glendale Police Department.
