NEW YORK (AP) - Viewers aren't doing much laughing these days _ at least intentionally. Only two of Nielsen Media Research's top 30 programs last week were situation comedies and one of them _ CBS' "Everybody Loves Raymond" _ ends its network run next month. The only other top-rated sitcom: "Two and a Half Men."

Pamela Anderson joins PETA boycott of KFC

NEW YORK (AP) - Pamela Anderson has a beef with Colonel Sanders. The former "Baywatch" star is calling for a boycott of KFC, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) announced Tuesday. Anderson narrates a new 5-minute video produced by the animal rights group that documents the mistreatment of chickens.

George Lucas to appear on 'The O.C.'

Regis Philbin to broadcast from cruise

NEW YORK (AP) - Let's hope Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa don't get seasick. The talk-show hosts will broadcast "Live With Regis and Kelly" from aboard a cruise ship for a week, the show announced Monday. From June 18-24, Philbin and Ripa will sail from port to port along the eastern United States, commandeering the entire ship with 1,000 spots to be awarded to viewers.
