Veteran newsman, PBS host Paul Duke dies

WASHINGTON (AP) - Paul Duke, whose storytelling skills and journalistic evenhandedness set the tone for the venerable public television show "Washington Week in Review," has died of leukemia, his former employer WETA-TV said Tuesday. He was 78.

NEW YORK (AP) - Poorly behaved teenagers are hot; smart kids, baseball all-stars and amateur rock stars are not. ABC's two-hour premiere of "Brat Camp," a reality show where troubled teens are taught discipline at a wilderness camp, was seen by 10.4 million viewers _ one of only four programs last week to top the 10 million mark.

NEW YORK (AP) - Paul Shaffer, musical director for "The Late Show With David Letterman," will host two benefit-tribute concerts for Mike Smith, lead singer and keyboard player for the Dave Clark Five, who suffers from spinal cord injuries after an accident at his home in Spain in 2003.
