'Tonight Show' comic Pat McCormick dies

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Pat McCormick, a walrus-mustachioed comedy writer for Phyllis Diller, Red Skelton and others who also appeared on "The Tonight Show" and had a role in three "Smokey and the Bandit" movies, has died. He was 78.
 
'Lost' to get new mysterious castaway

NEW YORK (AP) - There's someone else on the island. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will join the cast of ABC's "Lost," the network announced earlier this week. The actor will play Emeka, "a mysterious man whose presence on the island _ and intentions _ will be revealed" early in the upcoming second season, ABC said in a statement.
 
Baldwin, Grammer back on 'The Simpsons'

NEW YORK (AP) - Next season's guests on "The Simpsons" will include some old faces, some new ones and a Worm. Returning for roles on the Fox cartoon will be Alec Baldwin, who appeared on the show in 2002, and Kelsey Grammer, who will reprise his role as Sideshow Bob, the network announced Thursday.
