Dish Network Pulls Outdoor Life Network

DENVER (AP) - The owner of The Dish Network said Thursday it pulled the Outdoor Life Network from its system after the cable channel failed to provide NHL games to the nation's second-largest satellite television provider.

NEW YORK (AP) - Madonna got back up on the horse again _ with an assist from David Letterman. The talk show host and Madonna rode two horses along 53rd Street in Manhattan on the "Late Show," the singer's first ride since being thrown from a horse in England this summer.

NEW YORK (AP) - It goes without saying that TV mogul Dick Wolf is big. The "Law & Order" empire he built (including "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," which airs Sundays; "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," Tuesdays; and their progenitor, in its 16th season, on Wednesdays) is also big. Just ask NBC, which reportedly logs as much as $1 billion in annual ad sales from "Law & Order" programming, and counts "Special Victims Unit" its highest-rated show.
