CBS asks judge to dismiss Rather's suit

NEW YORK (AP) - CBS asked a judge Thursday to dismiss a $70 million defamation lawsuit that veteran television newsman Dan Rather filed against the network and its parent company, arguing that he waited too long to take legal action.

Paige Davis returns to 'Trading Spaces'

NEW YORK (AP) - Paige Davis is moving back to TLC's "Trading Spaces." The Broadway actress and TV host will return to the once-popular home makeover series beginning in January, the network said in a statement Thursday. In 2005, TLC announced Davis would no longer host "Trading Spaces" and transitioned the series to a host-less format.

Man hangs on, wins `Hannah Montana' tix

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Some people will do anything to make a kid happy. Jody Powell, 35, hung on to a 12-foot statue of "Hannah Montana" for the better part of six days to win tickets to a sold-out concert by Miley Cyrus, star of the Disney Channel TV show. The concert will be held next week in Tampa.
