Clemens asked to testify to Congress

WASHINGTON (AP) - Now Roger Clemens gets a chance to tell his side of the story under oath. So does his good pal Andy Pettitte. And their former trainer, Brian McNamee, too. Clemens, a seven-time Cy Young Award winner, was asked Friday to testify before a congressional committee looking into the Mitchell Report on doping in baseball, nearly three years after the same panel brought sluggers Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Rafael Palmeiro to Capitol Hill.
 
Yanks still discussing getting Santana

Nomo OKs minor league deal with Royals

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Hideo Nomo is getting another shot at pitching in America. The Japanese right-hander agreed to a minor league contract with the Kansas City Royals and was invited to spring training next month. The 39-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2005 and made seven starts in the Venezuelan Winter League in 2006.
 
Cubs get approval to add seats

CHICAGO (AP) - The Cubs received permission to add 70 "bullpen box seats" along the third base line at Wrigley Field, and install additional signage inside the park.
 
Clemens says he took B-12 injection

NEW YORK (AP) - Roger Clemens admits former trainer Brian McNamee injected him but says it was with the painkiller lidocaine and the vitamin B-12, not any performance-enhancing drugs.
