Reynolds, Diamondbacks beat Houston 13-3

PHOENIX (AP) - Ten days after his promotion from Double-A, Mark Reynolds has become Arizona's most feared hitter. The 23-year-old third baseman homered twice and went 5-for-5 with four RBIs to help the Diamondbacks beat Houston 13-3 Friday night, handing the Astros their sixth straight loss.

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Rookie Kevin Kouzmanoff's grand slam carried Greg Maddux and the San Diego Padres to a wild 8-6 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night. It was the second slam of Kouzmanoff's career. His claim to fame is that he's the only major leaguer to hit a grand slam on his first pitch, on Sept. 2 at Texas.

NEW YORK (AP) - Casey Kotchman, Chone Figgins and the Los Angeles Angels made it an even messier day for the New York Yankees. Kotchman and Figgins homered, Vladimir Guerrero doubled twice and the Angels kept winning against the Yankees, battering them 10-6 Friday night.
