ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Phil Nevin paused briefly to watch the ball before starting the emotional, and long-awaited, trot around the bases. Forgotten for a moment was the offensive slump that has been so bad Nevin didn't even play the previous two games for the Texas Rangers. Done was the 0-for-17 skid that had made manager Buck Showalter feel as though he needed to assure the designated hitter he'd get another at-bat Thursday night.
