MILWAUKEE (AP) - Ben Sheets threw 81 of his 118 pitches for strikes. Against Barry Bonds, Sheets felt he should have had a few more called. Sheets allowed six hits in his 13th career complete game and the Brewers took advantage of rookie Tim Lincecum's wildness in a 6-2 victory over San Francisco on Tuesday night that extended the Giants' losing streak to six.

Casey finally homers as Tigers rout Nats

WASHINGTON (AP) - Sean Casey forgot the Washington Nationals used to be the Montreal Expos _ but his bat sure didn't. Casey hit his first home run of the season, continuing his dominance of the Washington franchise, and the Detroit Tigers pounded out 17 hits in a 15-1 rout of the Nationals on Tuesday night.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Sammy Sosa swung and missed in his chance to make history in his first game against the Chicago Cubs. Sosa, trying to become the fifth player with 600 career home runs, was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the Texas Rangers' 5-4 loss to the Cubs on Tuesday night. Sosa hit 545 homers with the Cubs from 1992-2004, when he was the 1998 NL MVP and a seven-time All-Star.

Dodgers lose Schmidt, but Penny wins

TORONTO (AP) - The Los Angeles Dodgers are going to have to make do without Jason Schmidt for a while. Fortunately for them, Brad Penny is still going strong. Penny became the second nine-game winner in the National League, Russell Martin homered in his first major league game in his native Canada and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-1 on Tuesday night.
