Beltran draws boos in return to Houston

HOUSTON (AP) - Regardless of all the excitement Carlos Beltran provided Houston Astros fans last season, his decision to join the New York Mets made him their enemy Thursday night in his first trip back to Minute Maid Park. Beltran was booed relentlessly throughout the Astros' 3-2 victory. He went 0-for-4 and heard jeers when the lineups were announced before the game, during each at-bat and every time a ball came his way in center field.
 
Perez, Utley help Phils beat Rockies 8-5

DENVER (AP) - Pinch-hitter Tomas Perez drove in the tiebreaking run with a two-out infield single in the ninth inning, and Chase Utley homered and had a career-high five RBIs to help the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Colorado Rockies 8-5 Thursday night.
