Santana comes through in pinch for Colon

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Ervin Santana didn't have time to get nervous. The Los Angeles Angels rookie, relegated to the bullpen for the AL division series because of a four-man rotation, made his postseason debut in the second inning Monday night after Bartolo Colon left with an injured shoulder.
 
Angels knock out Yankees 5-3, reach ALCS

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Ervin Santana pitched 5 1-3 gutsy innings in his postseason debut for the Angels, Adam Kennedy hit a go-ahead triple that sent Yankees outfielders crashing to the ground, and Los Angeles beat New York 5-3 Monday night in the decisive Game 5 of their AL playoff series.
