The 64,000 fans at Paul Brown Stadium will erupt when Palmer _ with a bulky knee brace showing through his tiger-striped pants and socks _ lines up to take the first snap Monday night on the same field where he tore up his left knee seven months ago.

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Philip Rivers said his bruised throwing shoulder is OK. It's those darn fumbles that pained him the most. Rivers had a forgettable third exhibition game, losing three fumbles and slightly hurting his arm in the San Diego Chargers' 31-20 victory over the defending NFC champion Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night.
