Mavs win franchise-record 15th straight

DALLAS (AP) - Jason Terry had 29 points and 15 assists, and the Dallas Mavericks established a club record with their 15th consecutive victory, beating the Orlando Magic 103-98 on Saturday night. Dirk Nowitzki contributed 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, and Josh Howard added 21 points to help the Mavericks extend their team-record home winning streak to 22 games.

Marbury scores 11 in OT to spark Knicks

ATLANTA (AP) - Stephen Marbury managed to sit for only two minutes. Steve Francis had a hard time remembering the last time he played so many. Marbury scored 11 of his 38 points in overtime and the New York Knicks made up a late 15-point deficit to beat Atlanta 104-100 on Saturday night, the Hawks' fifth straight loss.

Pierce rallies Celtics past Nets in OT

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - After 44 minutes of awful basketball, Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics did everything necessary to make the New Jersey Nets feel miserable. Pierce atoned for a woeful shooting effort with a 3-pointer late in regulation and two jumpers in overtime to rally the Celtics to a 96-88 victory Saturday.

Bibby's late surge slams slumping Lakers

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Lakers had no problem scoring. Defense was another question. Mike Bibby scored 10 of his 33 points in the final 4:04 Friday night and Kevin Martin added 20, leading the Sacramento Kings to a 116-108 victory over Los Angeles, which shot 52.5 percent from the field, but committed 19 turnovers. It was the first time the Lakers shot at least 50 percent and lost (13-1).

Mutombo's rebound mark helps Rockets win

DENVER (AP) - With ice wrapped around both knees and a towel draped around his neck, an exhausted Dikembe Mutombo felt his age. Earlier, though, he didn't. "The old man can still rebound," Mutombo said after becoming the oldest player in NBA history to record over 20 rebounds in a game, finishing with 22 boards in the Houston Rockets' 108-97 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.

Eric Piatkowski, who had played 7 minutes all season, shot 3-for-8 from 3-point range and finished with 11 points to help the Suns beat the Indiana Pacers for the second time in four days, 115-90 on Friday night.

Jazz cruise to 109-83 win over T-Wolves

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Utah Jazz had a little trouble getting to their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and few difficulties once they arrived. Deron Williams had 21 points and eight assists to help the Jazz beat the Timberwolves 109-83 Friday night, shaking off a weather-induced travel delay to win their third straight road game.

Gordon, Hinrich rally Bulls past Hornets

Gordon scored 27 points, and Hinrich added 11 of his 22 in the fourth quarter to help the Chicago Bulls pull away for a 104-93 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Friday night.
