Will Miller end his career with NBA title?

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Fans dressed in Superman shirts, chanted "Reg-gie" and held signs that begged the Indiana Pacers to send Reggie Miller into retirement with an NBA title. All they can do now is hope Miller comes home for an encore.
 
Celtics nudge Pacers 92-89 in overtime

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - In the wildest game yet of a series headed to a Game 7, the Celtics overcame the late ejection of Paul Pierce and sent their first-round matchup with the Indiana Pacers back to Boston. Antoine Walker scored 24 points Thursday night, including a go-ahead 3-pointer early in overtime and the clinching basket with a minute to go, in Boston's 92-89 victory.
 
Okafor, Gordon lead NBA All-Rookie team

Gilbert Arenas knew one thing for sure _ overtime would be a poor option. So with the game tied and the momentum in favor of the Bulls on their home floor, he put a stop to the remarkable comeback and at the same time moved the Wizards closer to the second round.

Boston forward wants more playing time

BOSTON (AP) - Antoine Walker wants two things out of the next playoff game at Indiana _ more playing time and a chance for another game. Boston's power forward played just 31 minutes, only 12 in the second half, in the Pacers' 90-85 win over the Celtics on Tuesday night. It put Indiana up 3-2 with a chance to clinch the best-of-seven series at home.
 
Spurs advance after eliminating Nuggets

Wizards nip Bulls 112-110 on buzzer beater

CHICAGO (AP) - Gilbert Arenas foiled a remarkable comeback by the Chicago Bulls and pushed the Washington Wizards within one victory of the second round of the playoffs. Arenas hit a 14-foot jumper at the buzzer Wednesday night, sending Washington to a dramatic 112-110 victory and a 3-2 series lead. Game 6 is Friday at the MCI Center.
