INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indiana Fever were able to find a way to beat Minnesota despite another poor shooting night. The Fever made just four field goals in the fourth quarter and shot 36 percent (25-of-70) overall, but Indiana outscored the Lynx 14-2 from the foul line in the final period and held off Minnesota 69-59 on Thursday night.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - Guarding Lisa Leslie can be a full-time job, but it didn't rattle Taj McWilliams-Franklin. The Connecticut forward scored 22 points to match her season high and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Sun to a 72-63 win over Leslie and the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday night. Leslie, who is having an MVP year, finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds, but struggled early against the Sun defense.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen has pulled out of negotiations to sell the team. Allen, the billionaire co-founder of Microsoft, and Portland Arena Management, which runs the Rose Garden arena, had been working together to sell the team and the arena as a package.
