SAITAMA, Japan (AP) - Manu Ginobili scored 28 points to help make up for his team's 1-for-18 3-point shooting Saturday as Argentina beat New Zealand 79-62 in the second round of the world championships.
 
Sparks must-win at home away from home

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Although the Los Angeles Sparks earned the homecourt advantage over Sacramento in the WNBA's Western Conference Finals, they won't be able to take advantage of it when they play at "home" Saturday night.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Although the Sacramento Monarchs' first-round grace was gone, they still had the grit and grind they needed to stay with their biggest rivals. And then Kara Lawson and Nicole Powell provided just enough graceful moments against the Los Angeles Sparks to put the Monarchs on the verge of a return trip to the WNBA finals.
